4 sensational technologies for Prabhas's films
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Sept 2021 4:37 PM ISTPrabhas is the biggest superstar in Indian cinema now. His craze and popularity is no less when compared that of the big Khans in Bollywood. The blockbuster performance of Prabhas's Saaho, despite a rather weak word of mouth speaks volumes about the box office pull Prabhas commands. Now, the makers of Prabhas's ongoing and upcoming projects are incorporating, and in a way, introducing 4 new technologies.
As for Radhe Shyam, it is the first Indian film to incorporate virtual production technology in Indian cinema. No other Indian film was ever produced with this technology. As a part of this technology, the filmmaker can digitally develop virtual environments and atmospheres. It is greatly helpful to create a certain aura for particular scenes in the film. Now, Radhe Shyam is using this technology.
For Salaar, the makers are using Dark Centric Theme technology. We had reported about the same a few days ago. Through this technology, the color palette of the film is digitally modified in order to maintain a darkish shade for several important scenes in the film. This technology elevates the vibe and the essence of high octane action blocks. This will also offer a new movie watching experience to the viewers. Salaar is the first Indian film to incorporate this technology. PReviously in Hollywood, films like Tenet, the Batman Trilogy, and others had used this technology.
Coming to Adipurush, this is the first film to use motion capture technology. This move is to digitally modify the appearance of the characters in the film. This helps in creating a new animation-centric world. So, we can expect Prabhas, who plays Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan, who plays Raavan, and Kriti Sanon, who plays Sita to have a new appearance in the film. Om Raut extensively researched about the same and then incorporated it for Adipurush.
Then comes Prabhas and Nag Ashwin's Project K, which will be hitting the floors very soon. For this film, Nag Aswin is set to Alexa Arri 65 camera. It will be the first Indian film to be shot with this super expensive camera. The makers are spending a whopping budget on the film and it will be a visual spectacle.
