40 is not enough for Indian heroines!
X
There is a conception in Indian film Industry that a heroine has limited film career life. If a heroine crosses 30, she is said to be an outdated heroine. But, this trend is slowly changing and Bollywood is triggering this change. Many actresses of yesteryears are competing with the present generations, letting them run for their money.

If we go into the details, these days we see actresses like Madhuri, Sri Devi and Juhi Chawla etc on rise with their recent outings. The release of movie “English Vinglish” created ripples with the kind of business it did during its release. In the recent times, few more flicks of senior heroines shot to fame in that industry.

In other regional film industries, this trend is slowly creeping. Heroines like Meena came out of shell to act in flicks like “Drishyam”. Hence, 40 years of age is now not enough for Indian heroines to shut their career doors. They are looking for more opportunities after crossing 40. This aspect is inspiring present generation actresses to look on the long run process.
