Cast: Anand Buchu, Raj Bala, Radhika, Loukya & Others.
Music: Snehalatha Murali
Cinematography: Prabath
Story, Screenplay, Producer & Director: Vijay Sekhar Sankranti
Release Date: 1st April 2016
Usually, We see the trend of using Numeric Digits as Titles in Kollywood. Now, Even Tollywood Makers are heading in the same direction. '7 To 4' is a Crime Thriller which comes with a tagline 'Abbayilu Jagratha'. Director Vijay Sekhar touches a social issue in this movie. How well did he execute the concept? Let's seeâ¦
Synopsis:
Narasimha (Anand Buchu), Ravi (Raj Bala), Durga (Loukya) and Lilli (Radhika) forms an organization named 'White Tigers Society'. They nab the men who has been sexually harassing women and punish them. But, A notorious gang continues to abduct women without falling in the trap of the organization. For whom does this Gang works? Did White Tigers Society trace the dreaded criminals? Grab the tickets to know more!
Performances:
All the four lead actors (Anand Buchu, Raj Bala, Loukya & Radhika) were debutantes. Anand Buchu does a fine job in the role of the one who leads the Team. Raj Bala plays his support system. Even Loukya and Radhika have done justice to their roles. The manner in which they trace the Kidnappers and how they tackle the situation when surrounded by the goons has been executed so well. Even the actor who played Police Commissioner is aptly cast. Main Villain wasn't very effective as he appears in just one scene.
Pros:
Concept
Run Time
Cons:
Screenplay
Limited Reach
Technicalities:
Snehalatha Murali's Music is appreciable. Title Song is alright and Background Score is pretty good. Cinematographer Prabath succeeded in maintaining the same mood throughout the film. Dialogues were okay. Editing is crisp. Vijay Sekhar took the big responsibility of handling direction and production on his own. Not having any popular actors in the movie is a setback. Even the Screenplay isn't well written and lack of any emotions makes it look raw.
Analysis:
Women Trafficking is rampant in Metros and Criminals target the working women doing night shifts. No matter how many measures Government & police department might take, We come across incidents of kidnaps, sexual assault & murder. '7 To 4' is based on the same concept and its about the sequence of incidents happen in one night.
The idea of Four Member Team forming 'White Tigers Society' to hunt down those criminals who have been targeting women looks interesting. Though the kind of punishments they implement look a bit harsh, One gets the feeling criminals who harass women deserve them.
Storyline of '7 To 4' is very impressive. Had if the movie had a taut screenplay and better climax, It could have created an impact Makers wanted. Climax looks so flat without any twists n turns. A thrilling finish might have changed the fate of the movie. Even hiring few established actors for key roles could be a good idea. Short Run Time of 90 minutes is an asset to the movie. '7 To 4' is for those section of audience who love watching crime thrillers.
Bottom Line: Good Attempt - Bad Execution!
