A lesson to learn from Tamil heroes!
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Nov 2019 8:24 AM GMTWith the massive success of 'Babubali', the entire nation's focus shifted towards our stars and films. With this newly opened market in front of them, our heroes are running behind the pan-Indian appeal and failing miserably. This is where our stars need to take a leaf out of the book of Tamil heroes.
Unlike our heroes, they follow a pattern. They first aim at establishing a market in other states down South. They slowly make themselves a famous star across all the South Indian languages. Actors like Surya, Rajnikanth, Vijay, Karthi and others didn't attempt Bollywood films directly but created a huge market for themselves here. This makes their films safe and secure. Then, they focus on going to other territories like Japan and others.
On the contrary, our heroes are trying to woo North Indians and are going for heavy budgets. As the content is not strong and universal, they are going unnoticed and resulting in losses for the buyers. Films like 'Sye Raa' and 'Saaho' stand as the best examples. Also, its high time Tollywood needs to stop comparing every big-budget flick to 'Baahubali' because not everyone can be Rajamouli.
