Mohan Babu added another feather to his cap. MGR University will confer him with honorary Doctorate in Chennai on October 4th for his valuable contribution to the society.

In a career spanning over four decades, Mohan Babu has acted in over 500 films. He produced around 50 films on Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. Collection King worked as Rajya Sabha MP during NTR's regime. Close to 20,000 students study from KG to PG in Sri Vidyaniketan Educational Institutions. Mohan Babu was a recipient of Padma Shri Award (2007). Earlier, University of California offered him Doctorate for contribution in the field of Cinema and Education.
On the professional front, Mohan Babu is essaying the role of SV Ranga Rao in Savitri's biopic 'Mahanati'.
