Video Song: A Retro Romantic Song From Kangana's 'Thalaivi'!

The much-awaited biopic of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and legendary actress Jayalalitha is finally hitting the screens on 10th September. Titled as 'Thalaivi', this biopic has multiple national award winner Kangana Ranaut playing the lead role while popular actor Aravind Swamy will be seen as evergreen legend MGR. The film will showcase Jayalalithaa's inspirational journey from a 16-year old debutant in the world of Tamil cinema who goes on to become a superstar and eventually becomes Thalaivi revolutionary leader.
As it is known, MGR was the inspiration, love interest and mentor of Jayalalitha and the recently released video song named 'Unthan Kangalil' signifies their connection. GV Prakash Kumar composed this beautiful melody while lyrics were penned by Madhan Karky. Nakul Abhyankar and Niranjana Ramanan gave their vocals which were absolutely beautiful. The song takes us back to the retro days and it surely raises the expectations on the film which are already quite high.
Directed by AL Vijay, this movie is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, and Shaailesh R Singh. Zee Studios is releasing this film worldwide and it will be arriving in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Kangana has spoken highly about Jayalalitha and the makers of this film on various occasions and it is to be seen how the audience embraces this epic biopic.
