A Sad Ending Film In Tollywood After A Long Time!
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 May 2022 12:10 PM GMTMovies with sad endings are not well appreciated in Tollywood. People accept such endings if it is a Tamil film dubbed in Telugu but straight films often have happy endings in Tollywood. Even a top filmmaker like Gautham Menon designed the endings differently for the 'Ye Maya Chesave' and 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa' though they have the same story. A touching love story like 'Oy!' ended up as a commercial failure due to the heroine's death at the end.
Most of the directors in Tollywood prefer the safe option and write happy endings. But it seems like director Venu Udugula decided to stay true to the story and give a tragic ending to his upcoming film 'Virataparvam'. If sources are to be believed, Sai Pallavi who is going to be the heart and soul of this movie will be killed at the end in the hands of Priyamani who will be seen as Naxalite Bharatakka.
The sad and shocking ending is expected to leave a huge impact on the minds of the audience as per the director and we need to see how the viewers react to it.
'Virataparvam' is hitting the screens worldwide on 1st July. Rana plays the role of Comrade Ravanna in this movie which is inspired by the true events of the 1990s. He writes poetry in this film and his pen name is Aranya. Sai Pallavi plays the role of Vennela who is a big admirer of Ravanna's poetry. The film also has an amazing star cast comprising Priyamani, Nanditha Das, Naveen Chandra, Zareena Wahab, Eswari Rao, Sai Chand, Benarji, Nagineedu, Rahul Ramakrishna, Devi Prasad and others.
Dani Sanchez Lopez is the cinematographer along with Divakar Mani. Suresh Bobbili scored the music and Raju Sundaram is the choreographer while Stephen Richard along with Peter Hein composed the fights. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Suresh Babu, Venu Udugula made this film with a Naxalite backdrop. There are good expectations on this intense love story and let us see how the film turns out.
