Acharya's OTT date is here, but...

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's Acharya is confirmed to stream on OTT from the 20th of this month. But the doesn't mean the updates on the OTT-related deal between Amazon Prime Video and the makers of Acharya are true.
There are rumors that the makers of Acharya are receiving an additional Rs 18 crores for the early OTT release of Acharya but that isn't the case.
It is true that Acharya will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video just 3 weeks from its theatrical release date - 20 May. But that doesn't validate that Amazon Prime Video is paying any extra money for the early OTT release of the film. Any report claiming otherwise is completely baseless.
Amazon Prime Video will be giving early OTT premieres for Acharay but there will be no additional deal in this regard. The makers are having to let things go the way they are.
