Kathi Kanta Rao Family Is In Financial Troubles

Yesteryear actor Kanta Rao stole the hearts of the audience with his acting and unique sword fights. His specialty made him 'Kathi' Kanta Rao. When the Telugu film industry was in Madras, there was no difference between Telangana.. Andhra. He knows only acting and he has done that achieved so much recognition. He has even earned good money through films.
But he lost all his money by producing films. His family used to lead rich life when he was at the peak of his career but they are living in a rented house for the past 25 years. They are eagerly waiting for assistance from the government. Telangana government claims that Kanta Rao hails from Telangana but the government is giving only Rs.10,000 as assistance. Majority of this amount goes towards medical expenses of Kanta Rao's wife.
Kanta Rao might have never imagined that his family will be land in this kind of situation. Kanta Rao's wife, 85 yr old Hymavati is remembering their good olden days where but they are adjusted with whatever help they are getting from the government. She is asking the government to fulfill two wishes of her late husband Kanta Rao. One will surely pity her situation because she is not even demanding them.
The wishes are.. One is NTR Award for her husband.. the second is an own house. Kanta Rao used to have many properties including a big house.. lands.. other properties and cars. But they have nothing now as Kanta Rao lost all his money by investing in the films.
He produced 'Gandara Gandadu' in 1969 and incurred losses. Then he became choosy. But he produced 'Swathi Chinukulu' in 1987. He lost all his properties with that film. He shifted to Hyderabad in 1990.. he passed away on March 22, 2009, due to illness. Telangana government praised the greatness of Kanta Rao as first generation star hero from Telangana and announced Rs.10,000 as assistance. If we compare the advertisements given in his name with the financial aid his family getting.. it is too low.
Telangana government is inviting them for the government programmes. But it is the basic responsibility of the government to help the first generation Telangana star family which is otherwise spending crores to show the pride of the state.
