Actor-Producer Remembers How Fatwa was Issued Against Them!

Making a movie on a real incident is very tough. That too in India it is even a hectic job as people get offended here for even the silliest reasons possible. A director took the tough job on his shoulders to show the world one of the dark and horrific incidents the country ever faced.
We are talking about the highly-anticipated Bollywood film 'The Kashmir Files' that traces the horrific Kashmir Pandits Exodus. The film highlights how the Hindus in Kashmir were brutally attacked and women were raped. After going through a lot of issues and struggles, the film got a release date and the film hit the screen recently.
Days after the release of the film, producer Pallavi Joshi had recalled an incident the unit faced while they were filming the film. The actor-producer said that they had to face a lot of issues and even a fatwa was issued against them.
Going back to the shooting days, the producer said that the shooting was done in Kashmir, and on the last day of the shoot a fatwa was issued against them. She said that, after receiving the same, she asked her husband Vivek Agnihotri, the director of the film, to finish the shoot as soon as possible and get out of Kashmir at the earliest.
"Let's finish this scene quickly and head to the airport.'Let's not say anything and finish the shoot right now,' Pallavi said, recollecting the shooting days speaking to a leading daily.
