Actress Gayatri Gupta has been in the Industry for 11 years. But, It's only with 'Fidaa' she earned the recognition she wished to have.

When she expressed her desire to be an Actress, Family Members disapproved the decision taken by her. Father, Brother and Friends discouraged her citing the dark face of the Industry. Still, She began doing TV Shows initially and signed films later on.

Gayatri Gupta believes Film Industry isn't bad at all but few individuals who try to exploit wannable actors. 'To share bed for offers is like get into the lift. When you choose to take steps, It's going to be time taking and many hardships has to be overcomed. Few Actresses are even ready for such offers to fulfill their dreams. They assume compromising once will take them to new heights but the harassment continues. By doing so, You are offering the control over your life to someone else. That's why we should remain strong. Our life will depend on how we conduct ourselves in tough situations. For Me success is all about doing what I like,' she says.

When she went for auditioning of a role, An influential Film Personality asked Gayatri what does he gain by offering a chance to her. When she questioned what does that mean, He asked her to share bed with him. In addition, Gayatri was advised to have sexual relationship with writer and cinematographer so that they could elevate her in the movie. Soon, Gayatri slapped him, hurled verbal abuses and walked away. That's when an Assistant Director who was there came running and congratulated her for giving a befitting reply. Gayatri felt happy about herself after reacting in such a manner. 'Am I a prostitute to share bed with the person who is neither by boyfriend nor husband?,' she asks.
