Actresses Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan were elected as MPs in the recent Lok Sabha Polls when they contested on TMC Ticket from West Bengal. While Mimi Chakranborty represents Jadavpur Lok Sabha Segment, Nusrat Jahan is an MP of Basirhat Constituency.
The other day Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan reached the Parliament House and shared their joint photographs on Social Media by displaying their Identity Cards. First-Time MPs celebrated the first day at Parliament in that manner.
TMC fielded 17 Women Candidates in 42 MP Seats. While Mimi won with a majority of 2.95 lakh, Nusrat emerged victorious with 3.5 lakh majority.
