Adivi Sesh Hits Gold As 'Major' Gets Sold For AStaggering Price In The Overseas!
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Jun 2021 5:57 AM GMTTalented hero and filmmaker Adivi Sesh is riding high on the success of his previous outings 'Kshanam', 'Yevaru' and 'Goodachari'. He is all set to enter Bollywood with his maiden pan-Indian venture titled 'Major'. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, this film is based on the life of decorated NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
Adivi Sesh is playing the lead while Prakash Raj and Revathi will be seen as his onscreen parents. The film was planned to hit the screens on July 2nd in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam but got postponed due to the pandemic. The teaser got an immense positive response and helped in garnering a lot of buzz around the film. This patriotic film has turned into a hotcake among the business circles and the team are getting huge offers from distributors.
Well known distribution company Weekend Cinema which released films like 'Kabir Singh' and 'KGF' in the international market has bought the overseas rights of 'Major' in association with Southern Star International. They will be released it in all three languages in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Apparently, the rights went out for a staggering price which explains the craze of 'Major'.
Based on the '26/11' attacks in Mumbai, the film has Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala and Murali Sharma playing key roles too. GMB Entertainments, Sony Pictures and A+S Movies are bankrolling this film jointly.
