Before 2009 Polls, Veteran director and former union minister Dasari Narayana Rao have come up with a film 'Mesthri' targeting actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. In 2014, Its the turn of his follower Thammareddy Bharadwaj to launch an attack on the Megastar with his movie 'Prathighatana'.
The trailer of the movie where female lead Charmee questions a Politician (During last Elections you criticized the CM by saying he is corrupt, Now You joined hands with the Same Person and Party) and Discussion between Two Politicians regarding Rs 500 crore and Minister Posts for Merging the party is clearly intended to malign the image of Chiranjeevi.
