Indian actors are getting Hollywood offers. This is not a new phenomenon. Hollywood directors expressed keen interest to direct Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan did a cameo in The Great Gatsby.
Anil Kapoor did act in the Oscar winning film, The Slumdog Millionaire and Irrfan Khan till his death, did more Hollywood movies than other Indian stars.
With Hollywood looking to diversify and find more audiences globally than just Americans and English speaking people, they started including Asians in their films. The OTT platforms have made it even more easy to bring actors worldwide into any sort of production.
Before OTT platforms made it popular, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone crossed over to Hollywood in big budget films. Priyanka Chopra got famous due to Quantico TV series in US and Deepika Padukone acted with Vin Diesel in his XXX reboot.
Now, Alia Bhatt got the chance to star in a Hollywood film. The film will be produced by Netflix and it will star Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan. It is a spy thriller with Alia in an action role.
Gal Gadot became hugely popular with her Wonder Woman portrayal and is known as Sexiest Woman Alive, now. Starring alongside her would make Alia's Hollywood debut even more special.
She is also looking to star in South films post RRR experience. Dhanush is the only star from South Indian films to get Hollywood offers and he will be seen in The Gray Man movie alongside Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.
