Biopic of Legendary Actress Savitri, Mahanati added another flavour to her story by exploring her story from the perspective of a young woman journalist who is torn between love and her family traditional values.
Finally, due to Savitri's guts and her life story, journalist learns to be free of burdens that society imposes to live her life. Samantha played the role of the journalist and Vijay Devarakonda played her love interest.
We don't have to separately mention Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salman, who breathed life into love story of Savitri and Gemini Ganeshan on-screen.
Now, rumours suggest that Vijay Devarakonda's plans to grow his market in other languages, especially in Hindi and Tamil Nadu, could see another lease of life.
He tried to somehow achieve it with NOTA and Dear Comrade but both ended up being big disasters for him and he got the title of overambitious as well.
The latest rumours suggest that Thalaivi team has asked Vijay for 10-15 days of call-sheets for the role of Sobhan Babu in the film.
