After three years Telugu Cinema to witness an All Star Summer

YounBack in 2019, when things used to be quite normal and world did not witness a deadly pandemic, we saw Telugu big star films releasing in theatres during Summer. In 2021, Pawan Kalyan came up with Vakeel Saab but that did not satisfy the requirements of a busy Summer season.
Films like Majili, Jersey, Maharshi became huge hits and kept the box office registers running. During 2019, Superhero films from Hollywood started posing big threat at Indian box office and Avengers Endgame showed the box office potential of a well-made global action hero film at Indian markets too.
But all that is past and three years have been completed now for all that glory. Today, theatres need regular influx of films and Summer is the best possible season for biggies to aim. Children and youngsters will be free from their exams and we can expect families to be willing to spend their money on films as travel still seems risky.
This time the end of winter and spring season at box office is going to be sensational as Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati film, Bheemlanayak is going to release on 25th February. Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Adavallu Meeku Joharlu is also set to release on the same day.
Varun Tej's Ghani might go to 4th March and if that is confirmed then we can say that officialy Varun is kick starting Summer season at Telugu box office. Even if the film team confirms 11th March or 18th March date, Varun Tej will be the first hero to open the flood gates of Summer box office.
As Bheemlanayak is coming during Mahashivaratri weekend, the movie will be a grand, hopefully successful, ending film of Winter - Spring season at Telugu box office. After losing out on lucrative Business during Sankranti festival, both Prabhas's RadheShyam and SS Rajamouli's RRR are scheduled to release during Summer.
RadheShyam is expected to release on 11th March, becoming the first Pan India wide release big budget film of the Summer season. If Ghani opens the account, RadheShyam will be the dependable no. 3 batter to follow the opener. Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer love story is expected to create box office magic all over India.
RRR starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran and Ajay Devgn will be the second huge release for Indian Cinema during Summer season, on 25th March. The filmmakers have been ready to release the film from September last year and finally, they have decided to not postpone further, even if another wave strikes. It just doesn't seem financially plausible too.
Suriya's ET will open in Tamil and Telugu markets worldwide on 10th March. Considering it to be Suriya's first theatrical release after pandemic and being a complete commercial film, Tamil markets are expecting it to create records at the box office. Telugu distributors are expecting movie to recover costs first as previous movies of Suriya failed to do so.
April month will be more about other language biggies than Telugu language big star films. We have KGF Chapter 2, Laal Singh Chadda aiming for 14th April date. Laal Singh Chadda has Naga Chaitanya in cast along side all India Hindi language stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Movie is a remake of Hollywood film, Forrest Gump and people are expecting it to be Bollywood's revival at box office after pandemic.
KGF Chapter 2 is expected to be Baahubali 2 of the franchise and makers are expecting it to touch 1000 crores gross collections at the box office, owing to the popularity of KGF Chapter 1.
Thalapathy Vijay's Beast locked the date for 14th April too. Recently, Arabic Kuthu song from the album composed by Anirudh Ravichandran is released and it is creating sensational records. Nelson is expected to showcase Vijay in a different light and movie is expected to become huge blockbuster.
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has Ramarao on Duty scheduled for 15th April release. The actor will be looking at a big hit after Khiladi debacle.
Finally, 29th April will be the date when Mega fans and Telugu movie lovers get the chance to witness Ram Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi together on screen in Acharya. Koratala Siva promised fireworks when they both appear together on screen and we expect nothing short from the rollicking combination. Already Teaser released with both of them side by side gave Goosebumps to fans.
Sarkaaru Vaari Paata starring Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh could arrive on 12th May. Parasuram Petla after Geetha Govindam is making this film and he is hoping to repeat Pokiri magic at the box office, for which he worked as one of assistants for director Puri Jagannath.
Gopichand is coming up with Pakka Commercial and Major is also slated to release in final weeks of May. Some films might go into June month, if any issues arise unexpectedly.
Ajith Kumar's Valimai is set to release on 24th February and this film will start the big box office festival for three months, if no new issues arise. Let's celebrate marathon of films at the theatres starting from last week of February till June.
