2018 - A year for Yash and Vijay Devarakonda
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Dec 2018 9:20 AM GMTVijay Devarakonda was never expected to emerge as a star. He was more seen as a guy who will one day become popular actor and then a star like Nani, after Arjun Reddy.
But Arjun Reddy went so deeply into young audiences that the actor with a decent film like Geetha Govindam got a huge hit.
No one assumed it would collect Rs. 100 crores gross and he came without any backdrop into the films and achieved so much, says about his dedication and talent.
He is also a guy who has a loud mouth and confidence that doesn't deter easily. He is okay to get trolled and even more happy to show off, like in Rowdy style.
May be much bigger than him in Kannada and definitely, much senior, Yash also emerged as a box office star who gave Rs. 100 crores grosser this year when no one expected.
Kannada stars getting Pan Indian recognition or reception is quite rare. He said that he wants to achieve that during an award event and did it with KGF.
He now has a market in Telugu, Tamil as well, provided he does better movies, it can increase. Even Vijay broke through in Tamil, this year.
Seems like both the outsiders got support of audiences so much that they could positively make a strong statement about big success and achieve it too. 2018, seems to be really lucky for them and Film Industry got to embrace new talents.
