By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Jan 2018 11:47 AM GMTTheatrical Rights of 'Agnyaathavaasi' fetched Rs 125 crore for the Producer. On Day 1 itself, The film managed to collect a whooping Rs 40 crore. The negative talk is so worse that it brought down the share to just Rs 5 crore on Day 2. By the end of First Weekend, Total revenue is just Rs 50 crore which is very disappointing to say the least.
A deficit of Rs 70 crore is expected for 'Agnyaathavaasi'. Who will have to bear this hefty loss - Distributors & Exhibitors or Producer?
Actually, Producer might have sold the rights for outright prices because of the humongous craze. So, Neither Distributors nor Exhibitors will be in a position to demand compensation. They could only place requests and Makers might consider them on humanitarian grounds. It's up to the Producer to decide whether he would return a part of the money or offer rights of his upcoming films for less price.
As per buzz in Film Nagar, Pawan Kalyan offered to return his remuneration after the disastrous result. Even Trivikram came forward to pay back Rs 10 crore.
