Expectations were humongous on 'Agnyaathavaasi' as its the third film in the deadly combination of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. This star-studded flick released Today amidst so much hype. Let's see if it met the expectations or not...
Synopsis:
Govinda Bhargav (Boman Irani), who built a business empire in the name of AB, and his Younger Son gets brutally killed. When his Second Wife Indrani (Kushboo) had no clue what to do, Abhishikth Bhargav (Pawan Kalyan) who happens to be the son of his First Wife enters the scene. He joins as an Employee in the company owned by his Family to know who is behind the conspiracy. Rest of the story is about how he finds the Killers & take over the Business Empire!
Performances:
'Agnyaathavaasi' is Pawan Kalyan's One Man Show. He could be seen in almost every scene & appears in the manner in which Fans enjoy watching him. Be it PK's performance, mannerisms & fights, Everything seems to be designed keeping the fan base in mind. So, This movie is gonna be a feast for the fans of Powerstar.
Neither Keerthy Suresh nor Anu Emmanuel are able to impress. Their roles weren't etched out well. Screen Presence of Aadi Pinisetty in the villain's role is good but his character looks weak. Even Khusboo's role is no different. Boman Irani does a fine job. Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma tickles the funny bone. Vennela Kishore is superb. Tanikella Bharani does a fine job.

Technicalities:
Music composed by Anirudh Ravichander isn't up to the expectations. Though 'Gaali Vaaluga', 'Baitikochi Chusthe' & 'Kodakaa Koteswar Rao' were good enough, There is a feeling that something is missing in his music. Even the picturization of Songs isn't up to Trivikram's reputation. Whereas, Background Score of Anirudh is awesome. Manikandan's Camera Work is a huge asset to the movie. Every frame looks so lavish and colorful. Production Values are grand. Director Trivikram took inspiration from the French film 'Largo Winch' for the basic storyline. Unfortunately, This style of writing didn't suit this subject much. Even the Dialogues weren't as good as his previous projects. No doubt, 'Agnyaathavaasi' is the weakest film in his career.
Analysis:
Audience don't think about logic as long as they find the proceedings engaging or entertaining. The actual problem begins when they were unable to connect with the emotions and that's what happened in the case of 'Agnyaathavaasi'. Throughout the course of the movie, One could find many logic less scenes as the story doesn't engage much and even the entertainment is below par.
The Protagonist joins his Family-owned Company as an employee to find the people behind his Father's Murder. Instead of being on the mission, He indulges in romance with Heroines and behaves funnily with other staff. He hardly presents the grief which anybody who lost his/her Father would experience. What is the logic behind making the Hero do all funny stuff in such a serious subject? At least, Viewers would have given it thumbs up if the humour has entertained them but that didn't happen. Even 'Khaleja' which was the weakest film in Trivikram's career have some hilarious moments. Though the story is weak, Trivikram have the reputation of making it work with his terrific writing skills and sense of humour. Whereas, You find that magic missing in 'Agnyaathavaasi'.
All the roles including that of Heroines and Villains haven't been etched properly. The complete focus of Trivikram is only on Pawan Kalyan. He made a conscious attempt to highlight PK in every scene. Though Pawan Kalyan thrilled the fans with his mark mannerisms and feats, Hero elevation scenes work big time only if Villain's role is strong enough.
There are many Twists n Turns in 'Agnyaathavaasi' but Trivikram failed to keep it crisp and engaging. Lack of Trivikram-mark comedy is the biggest drawback. Multiple layers in story create some interest but the story loses track after a point. Action Block in the interval & the sequence establishing the relationship between Pawan Kalyan & Khushbu are worth praising. 'Kodakaa Koteswar Rao' song & few funny scenes in the office have been nice. Climax isn't so exciting but Trivikram-mark is visible here to some extent. Overall, Fans may enjoy watching Pawan Kalyan in almost every frame but neutral audience might fight it disappointing.
