Aishwarya Rajnikanth married actor Dhanush 18 years ago. She was back then in a relationship with Silambarasan before her friendship with Dhanush transformed into love and then they got married with parents' agreement.
Rajnikanth and his wife Latha, encouraged their daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya to have creative careers as per their wishes. Aishwarya turned into a writer-director while Soundarya is a VFX expert and she directed Rajnikanth in Kochadaiyan.
Aishwarya directed her husband Dhanush in the films 3 and VIP 2. Dhanush decided to not be a part of Aishwarya's films in future post VIP 2.
Since then the reports came out that things were not alright between. Several times the couple have denied such reports. But now, in January they annouced their separation.
Now, the actor referred to her as his old friend and his family members, more importantly his father said that the couple would come together in future after they resolve their differences.
Fans of the actor want their idol to be happy and want the couple to resolve their differences. But Aishwarya changed her social media handles name from Aish_r_dhanush to aish_rajinikanth. This is an indication that she is looking to move on.
