Ajith's Valimai is Balam in Telugu

Ajith Kumar has a good fan following in Telugu states as well. His Premalekha and Vaali have become blockbusters in Telugu and that created a base for him. Vijay started to convert the base into a market in Telugu after Thuppakki and Master proved that his market is growing.
Ajith on the other hand lost some ground due to routine films. The actor is coming with his next racy entertainer in the direction of H. Vinoth for this Sankranthi season. Movie is titled Valimai in Tamil and recently, the team unveiled the Telugu title.
The Telugu Title of the film is Balam. Valimai in Telugu means Balam, and team seems to have goen with literal meaning. After Viswasam this will be Ajith's next direct Telugu release. His previous film in Tamil, Nerkonda Paarvai did not get a Telugu release as the same producer, Boney Kapoor remade it in Telugu as Vakeel Saab with Pawan Kalyan.
Interestingly, Ajith's movies Vedalam and Veeram got / getting remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan as heroes, respectively. Balam is set to release on 13th January, 2022 in Tamil and Telugu markets.
Karthikeya is acting in the main villain role. He will be seen as a racer in the film. This will be the actor's second film as a villain post Nani's Gang Leader. Huma Qureshi is also acting in the movie in the female lead role. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for the film.
