'Mehbooba' is the latest film of director Puri Jagannadh. As Puri is going through a lean phase in his career, he pinned all his hopes on the success of 'Mehbooba'. The project becomes even more important for him because Puri is launching his son Akash. Giving a boost to his confidence, the promos have received good appreciation from the audience.
In a press meet a few days ago, Akash Puri made a bold statement that "My dad is not launching me but I'm launching him." Akash tried to clarify what he meant by that statement. He said that 'Mehbooba' is going to be his dad's comeback film because the audience are going to see a new Puri Jagannadh. We have to wait and see whether Akash Puri's confidence on the output of 'Mehbooba' will be proved to right or not.
'Mehbooba' is a love story set in the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war. Neha Shetty is the heroine. Sandeep Chowta is the music director. Puri Jagannadh is producing the movie under Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies banner. 'Mehbooba' is slated for release on May 11.
