Mr. Majnu Is Kinda Tribute To Romantic Heroes - Akhil

Akhil Akkineni decided to join films when many expected him to be a cricketer. The actor's first two films, Akhil and Hello, flopped at the box office.
He is coming with his third film, Mr. Majnu on 25th January, in the direction of Venky Atluri. He gave interview to web media to promote the film.
About the title, "I never thought about just doing the same things that my father and grandfather have done. I am trying to make my mark but I have to live up to their legacy and star status. Mr. Majnu is some kind of a tribute to their image as romantic legends and that too by a team which loves them," said Akhil.
He further said, "I cannot think ahead of myself and just predict the outcome of all films. I am trying to learn the art.
Since, I am a novice, I could handle the big disaster I faced with my debut and it made me strong. I started approaching craft even more focused and confident. Mr. Majnu is important to me at this juncture more than a little later in my career.
This film is not a single track love story. It is more of a mixture of Manmadhudu and Santhosham. People will get all the entertainment with humour quotient in the film throughout.
Venky Atluri is a big fan of Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and my dad Nagarjuna garu. He said that he took lot of inspiration from their films and you can see that in the film, too."
He also said that he likes to be a part of big films and sports films more. "I want to do an ensemble film and a big multi-starrer too. For a producer to trust in me, I need hits and I hope Mr. Majnu will be a starting point. I will announce my next film after watching Mr. Majnu result," concluded Akhil.
