Movie Buffs were curious to know about the scar on the face of Sonakshi Sinha ever since the first look poster of 'Akira' was unveiled.
Director AR Murugadoss himself reveals the importance of the 'scar' in this case. 'Each and every scar on our bodies have a story behind it. In the same manner, Even Akira has painful past and scar remains even though the wound has dried up,' he says.
The scar near the eyes of Sonakshi Sinha will make audience have an emotional connect with her charter. Hence, Murugadoss is very particular about creating it.
'Akira' is believed to be a remake of Tamil flick 'Mouna Guru'. The lead character who hails from Jodhpur has a painful childhood and she reaches Mumbai for her education. Unexpectedly, She was accused of involvement in a crime and thereafter everything which belongs to her has been taken away. That's when she decides to fight back for justice. While Akshay Kumar did a guest role, Director Anurag Kashyap played the role of Antagonist. 'Akira' releases on September 2nd.
