Akkineni Scions - Not Star Materials?
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Aug 2019 1:19 PM GMTMuch to the disappointment of Nagarjuna, None of his Two Sons have established themselves as Star Materials so far. They managed to be not more than Mid-Range Heroes till date either due to the subjects chosen or Box Office results.
Naga Chaitanya has done 17 films till date. This include successful movies such as Ye Maaya Chesave, 100% Love, Tadakha, Manam, Premam, Rarandoi Veduka Chudham and Majili. He, however, wasn't able to achieve stardom but managed to settle as a Hero with market anywhere from Rs 18 to 25 crore.
Akhil, on the other hand, received much better launch pad than Chai but wrong estimation proved costly. None of the three movies released until now were successful. Of course, 'Hello' is far better film than 'Akhil' and 'Mr.Majnu'. From around Rs 40 crore with debut flick, His market has fallen to Under 20 by the time his third movie released.
You can't say Chai and Akhil are bad actors or there was no committed effort from their side. It's just that only 0.01 percent of Heroes emerge as Stars...That's what Nag himself said in a recent interview!
