Shocking Update On Akshay's Role In 2.0

Super Star Rajinikanth and director Shankar combination is always interesting. After almost seven years, they are coming up with the sequel to the super hit film Robo.Titled 2.0, the film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of antagonist. Going by the initial first look pictures, we come to a conclusion that Akshay Kumar is the baddie in the movie but the sources close to the film unit have revealed that Akshay Kumar's role was designed in a way that it looks ferocious but he is not the villain in the film.
Akshay Kumar plays DR Richard who fights for the right causes and struggles against forces that have plundered and devastated the earth. The makers wantedly eliminated the hints of negativity in the character when Akshay came on board as the makers were not in a mood to clash the image of the national hero.
The same role was earlier offered to Kamal Haasan and the actor declined it.
