Akshay Kumar, these days has taken over the philanthropy like a job and everyday he is announcing some new plan or the other that will support different sections of society. Akshay recently announced a fund for army welfare and asked people to support his plan as whole heartedly as they can. According to the scheme many widows of army men and those who lost important organs fighting for safety of nation, need not have to worry for insurance money and they can sustain their lives without having to look for government's help that has been reported to be insufficient and delayed, at times.
After, this he recently announced insurance for Stuntmen. Stuntmen are those people who take risks to please audience and lend to the high that fans enjoy when their heroes beat black and blue out of perpetrators. As it is a movie, some one has to act in the role of a person who takes the blow and fall after tumbling for two or three rounds in air. The kind of risks they take can be termed as life altering as they can loose any body part or even their life as well. Till now no insurance agency as come forward to give them life insurance, so to ensure their families won't have to live on roads or look for help from some or the other person, Akshay with his friend, cardiologist, Dr. Ramakrishna Panda introduced insurance plans for them.
According to it, stuntmen who die performing a stunt will receive 10 lakhs as insurance amount and if they get severly injured then 6 lakhs to lead their life. Soon, Akshay will award them the policies. Well, a great initiative by him. We hope Telugu film actors are also looking to do the same for the fighters.
