Why Did Teju Do Those Five Films?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 July 2018 11:50 AM GMTSometimes, even the most watchful persons inadvertently let the cat out of the bag. Veteran producer Allu Arjun did the same the other day. W1hile speaking at the Tej I Love You pre-release, he said that Saidharam Tej knew some films were going to bomb, but had to sail along as he wanted to keep his promise. This led to a furious debate about the directors who films with Saidharam Tej ended up as disasters.
After three back-to-back successes in the form of Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, Surbamanyam for Sale and Supreme, Saidharam lost the steam. His films Thikka, Winner, Nakshatram, Jawan and Intelligent were collosal failures putting a question mark on his career. Referring to this Allu Aravind asked Saidharam as to why his films were flopping one after another. He then revealed that Teju told him that he knew those films would bomb. Yet, he had done them because he had already given a word and wants to stand by it.
Aravind then said Saidharam was a rarity in an industry where one failure would make heroes reject failed directors. He said Teju is not just a good artiste, but also a nice humanbeing. He said: Mark my words! He is in for a long haul," Aravind said of Teju.
