Allu Arjun Dedicates Special Award To Covid Warriors!
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Oct 2022 5:54 AM GMTIcon Star Allu Arjun is on a roll. He is banking on the massive success of his last outing Pushpa. Part one of the Pan-Indian franchise set the box office on fire and struck gold at the box office. Pushpa's success made Allu Arjun receive the honour of representing India at the India Day Parade in New York City.
Allu Arjun received a grand welcome and his swag and style at the parade left everyone stunned. The Happening star posed with New York Eric Adams at the parade and the duo mimicked the iconic Thaggede Le from Pushpa film. He was presented with a certificate at the parade too.
Now the star hero added another feature to his cap by bagging a prestigious award. Allu Arjun was honoured with the prestigious 'CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2022'. He was picked under the entertainment category. Union Minister Smriti Zubin Irani presented the award.
The award is not unique only to Allu Arjun but to Tollywood too. Apparently, no other star from the Southern industries managed to get the award. Coming to Allu Arjun, this is the first award he received from the north. Thanks to Puhspa, he received the award.
No wonder, Allu Arjun called the award a special one as it marks his first Pan-India film. Recycling his career which has been going on for two long decades, Allu Arjun said he received the award from the north and this makes the award a special one.
"I've been working in the film industry for 20 years now. I've received many awards in the south, this is the first time I'm ever receiving an award from the north so it's very special for me," the Icon Star said after receiving the award.
Not just an award, Allu Arjun won many hearts by dedicating his award to the Covid Warriors, who helped in beating the deadly Covid despite knowing that they can catch the virus. Many doctors, nurses, and other helpers breathed their loss after coming in contact with the Virus while treating the patients.
Coming to his work front, he is busy with Pushpa-2. The second part of the franchise recently had a Pooja ceremony and the unit is expected to start the shoot shortly. In the recent Filmfare Awards, Pushpa swept the awards.
