Tamil filmmakers used to target Telugu market from long and it is not a new phenomenon at all. Mani Ratnam.. Shankar.. Kamal Haasan.. Rajinikanth films used to be dubbed into Telugu and they used to impress the Telugu audience. Telugu filmmakers have rarely done that. But our Telugu heroes are showing their presence in Malayalam market these days.
Allu Arjun films are releasing in Malayalam for the past several years even before 'Baahubali'. He enjoys good craze in Kerala Among the Tollywood stars. His latest film 'Duvvada Jagannadham' Malayalam version is getting ready for release in Kerala now. The makers initially planned to release the film on July 14 but they have postponed it to August 11 later. They are planning to release in the highest number of theaters.
It is interesting to see how 'DJ' is going to be received by Malayalam audience because there was mixed response in Telugu. As August 11 release date has the long weekend advantage, producers are expecting strong opening collections in Malayalam.
