Allu Arjun Etches Out Plan For Pushpa And Icon

Allu Arjun is currently busy with Pushpa: The Rise which is in the final leg of shoot. The makers are hoping to complete the shoot by the end of September or early October so that they can stick to their initial 'Christmas' release plans. The unit is presently filming a few crucial sequences featuring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. If things go smoothly, Pushpa: The Rise will be arriving in theaters this Christmas season. But it is a bit too early to comment about the film's release plans just yet.
Coming to the topic, Allu Arjun has apparently etched a decisive plan for Pushpa and his upcoming project, Icon now. Allu Arjun plans to complete shooting for Pushpa: The Rise by this October and take a brief break and then start working on Icon. In all likelihood, Icon will be hitting the floors by the end of this year. Apparently, Allu Arjun has already asked the director of the project, Sriram Venu to start working on the pre-production. Likewise, the makers have commenced the pre-production works. They have even shortlisted a few names for the two female lead roles in the film. Pooja Hegde and Janhvi Kapoor are said to be in the pole position to bag these roles.
Allu Arjun plans to be done with Pushpa: The Rise by October and then take Icon onto the floors by the end of the year. This project will be wrapped up at a brisk pace and if things go as planned, Allu Arjun will be completing shooting for Icon in 6 months. At this rate, he will be done with the project by mid-2021. He will then start working on the second installment of the Pushpa duology. This project might start rolling in the latter half of 2022 and then go on to hit the silver screens in 2023. This is the plan etched out by Allu Arjun for now and it is subject to change based on the conditions at that point in time. Allu Arjun is also in talks with Boyapati Sreenu and Murugadoss for potential collaborations and more details about these projects will be out in the days to come.
