Allu Arjun is going the extra mile for his maiden pan-India film, Pushpa. The film is being made in two parts and the first instalment, Pushpa: The Rise will be out in theatres this Christmas, as announced by the makers already. As we had reported earlier, Fahadh Faasil who plays the antagonist in the film joined the sets very recently and he is currently shooting for the big budget action thriller which is directed by Sukumar. Pushpa: The Rise has Allu Arjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh, Faasil, Sunil and others in important roles. The shooting for the same is expected to be wrapped in the next 45 days or so.

Coming to the topic, Allu Arjun is apparently spending 3-4 hours a day just on the make-up and prosthetics for Pushpa. His hairdo, beard styling, apparel, and final touch-ups are said to be largely time consuming. It is heard that Allu Arjun has to sit on the make up chair 2-2.5 hours every morning to put on the make up and get his physical appearance right for the character of Pushpa Raj. He then has to spend between an hour and an hour and a half removing the make-up and the prosthetics. This surely is not as easy as it sounds and Allu Arjun is said to be putting in his best efforts to make sure that his appearance in the film looks absolutely spot on. On a whole, he spending around 3-4 hours every day just on make-up and styling alone.

Allu Arjun plays a cruel smuggler in Pushpa and in order to make the gruesome and menacing looks look authentic, the make-up and apparel team is using the tan method and an earthier tone outfit scheme for Allu Arjun. He is having to spend a lot of time on make-up and styling, which are essential to get the appearance right.

Pushpa is Allu Arjun's first pan-India film and he wants to leave a lasting impression amongst pan-India audiences with the Sukumar starrer. The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers who are spending in excess of Rs 300 crores on the action thriiler.
