Amazon Prime Video has made it a habit to bag the digital rights of mainstream Telugu biggies. The platform is very much active in Tollywood as compared to other language industries. The latest updates imply that Amazon Prime has made another major acquisition in Telugu cinema.
Amazon Prime has bagged the post theatrical digital rights of Pawan Kalyan - Rana's ongoing project, Bheemla Nayak which is halfway through the shoot. The OTT giant will be dropping an official announcement in this regard only as the film approaches theatrical release.
Sithara Entertainments, who are bankrolling Bheemla Nayak are said to have minted big bucks by selling off the post theatrical digital streaming rights of the much-anticipated multi-starrer.
Bheemla Nayak is a remake of a Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Pawan Kalyan and Ran reprise the roles played by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the original. Sagar Chandra directs the Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer. It features Nithya Menon and Aishwarya Rajesh in the female lead roles. The film is announced for release on 12th January next year.
