NTR Award for Celebrity Couple

Karnataka Telugu Saahitya Academy has been honoring prominent personalities with NTR Memorial Award for years now. This year, The Jury has jointly picked up Sandalwood Rebel Star Ambareesh and his wife Sumalatha for the prestigious award.
Radhakrishna Raju, the Academy's founder president, informed the news to the media. He told Ambareesh and Sumalatha were chosen for the NTR Award as a token of gesture to their services.
On June 2nd, Ambareesh and Sumalatha will be felicitated and presented with NTR Memorial Award at the Ravindra Bharathi Kala Kshetram in Hyderabad.
Ambareesh made his film debut in 1972 with 'Naagarahaavu' and has done over 200 films. He married Sumalatha in 1992. After joining politics by taking Congress membership, He served as MLA, MP & Minister so far.
