Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces Bipin Rawat and 12 others passed away in a chopper crash on Wednesday. The Army chopper was en route to Wellington and crashed minutes after leaving the Sulur Air Station. The efforts to send the mortal remains of the deceased to the national capital Delhi have stated.

However, the ambulances carrying the mortal remains of the 13 people escaped from a possible disaster as one of the ambulances carrying the mortal remains crashed into another ambulance. But no unwanted happenings took place with the driver being alert.

Despite sustaining injuries in the mishap, the ambulance driver made sure that he didn't lose control of the vehicle. He was taken to a nearby hospital facility for treatment. Another driver was called and the mortal remains were shifted to the Madras regimental Centre Wellington.

After keeping the mortal remains for some time, they were shifted to the Sulur Airfield from the Madras regimental Centre Wellington. The mortal remains will be shifted to the national capital Delhi from there and the last rites will be held in Delhi itself.
