Ameesha Patel Summoned By MP Court In Cheque Bounce Case

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel landed herself in unwanted controversy. She was summoned by a court in a cheque bounce case if Rs 10 lakh and asked her to appear before the court on January 27.
A complaint was registered on her and the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Manish Bhatt has issued summons to her. The case was filed under section 318 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Durgesh Sharma, representing the petitioner Nisha Chhipa said, "The JMFC directed the actor to remain present before it on January 27".
He said that the Actor took Rs 10 lakh as an advance for film production from Chhipa.
"The actor had given a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to my client for repayment, but it got dishonored as she did not have adequate balance in her bank account," he added.
