Majority of the present generation films have one week theatrical run at the maximum. You won't find the same movie on the next Friday in the theaters. If the films don't have crowd pulling capacity even for a week, exhibitors replace them in just two days with other films. If a film runs for a week with good collections in such a scenario.. it is surely worth mentioning.
'Ami Thumi' is a small budget movie but it has impressed the audience with its content. The movie has completed 25 days in sixty centers and it is still running succesfully. It was made on shoestring budget and there were no expectations on the film.. but the collections are very impressive. 'Ami Thumi' has shown its potential with the satellite rights offer. Popular TV channel ETV said to have acquired the satellite rights for Rs.2.25 crore.
This comedy entertainer is directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti. This is the only full-fledged comedy film directed by him after 'Ashta Chemma'. Adivi Sesh, Vennela Kishore, Avasarala Srinivas, Eesha Rebba, Aditi, Shayamala Devi played lead roles in the movie.
