The demand for content on OTTs has surged double the need and all the platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Hotstar are desperately adding content to help their audience.
The efforts of OTTs is finally paying the price! The demand for content is never ending but can be met gradually!
In Bollywood, the OTT releases are just increasing day on day. Amitabh Bachchan has paved the way for many with his film 'Gulabo Sitabo'. The film got streamed on Amazon Prime Video few months back. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar of 'Piku' fame.
Now the superstar Amitabh Bachchan is said to be starring in a web series of the Apple TV, a streaming platform of Apple. The series is based on the popular book 'Shantaram'. It is written by Gregory David Robert. The series also stars Radhika Apte and Charlie Hunnam in the lead. The series would start its shoot in 2021 I real locations of Mumbai slums and would release in the same year probably. In this series Amitabh will play the role of a Crime Lord named Kader Khan!
It remains to be seen how the audience react to the superstar's new journey!
