Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other artists like Sonu Nigam and Shaan sang live for peace at the 'Global sounds of peace' organised by musician Aadesh Srivastava.

"I want to thank the public for attending the concert. Normally the concerts related to films have a different ambience and music. I didn't know that they like such music too. It was a little classical," Bachchan said after the concert.

Talking about performing live, Bachchan said that it was tough.

"Performing live is always tough. It involves a lot of hard work. Here there is live music and audience which makes it tough," he added.

A white carpet instead of a red one was organised as a symbol of peace.

"It was a good idea to have a white carpet as a symbol of peace," Bachchan said.

The other celebrities who walked the white carpet included Ayushmann Khurrana, Udit Narayan, Kunal Kapoor, Kavita Seth, R. Balki and Ashutosh Gowarikar, among others.

Bachchan sung "Raag Basanti" and his performance was clearly awaited by all the celebrities.

"I am waiting for Amitabh Bachchan's performance. But all the other artists were also very good," Kavita Seth told the media.

Actor Ayushmann also seemed excited over Big B's performance.

"Amit ji is like a living legend. He is such a great performer and even if he just stands on the stage, it is a big thing," he said.

Bachchan was accompanied by Aadesh Srivastava during his performance which was clearly mesmerising with the stage being decorated with huge white swans. White peace balloons floated in the sky through out the performance.

Singer Udit Narayan was happy with the message of peace being spread to the masses through such concerts.

"It feels very nice to have such programmes for peace. Amitabh Bachchan, Aadesh Srivastava and so many other artists have come together for this cause. I am so happy that the message of love and peace is being spread," he said.

Kunal Kapoor said that it was tough to get so many musicians together for such a good cause.

"It is tough to get so many musicians together. The cause of peace is good and the world is in need of it," he said.
