In a rarest of the rare honour, Bollywoods iconic cine family that consists of four actors at the moment has the pride of holding seven Padma awards, the highest civilian awards given by Government of India.
Amitabhs father Harivansh Rai Bachhan himself has 2 Padma awards to his credit, a Padmasri and Padmabhushan. Big B, along with the other days Padma Vibhushan has Padmasri (1984) and Padma Bhushan (2001) to his credit. His wife Jaya Bachan and daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachan has a Padma Sri each. Only Junior Bachan is the lonely man it seems. Well, congrats Big B family for the 7 awards.
