An Artist Brahmanandam Can Only Pull It Off!

These are not our words but the words of writer Sai Madhav Burra. He wrote dialogues for the movie, NTR biopic and he spoke to media on 29th December.
He said many things about the movie but and spilled beans on why Brahmanandam is preferred to play Relangi in the film.
He said, "Relangi Venkaramayya garu is a legend in Telugu cinema. He is the first star comedian in Telugu and Balakrishna garu, Padmanabham, Ramana Reddy, Suryakantham, Raja Babu, Chalam, Ramaprabha followed him even though some of them are his contemporaries.
He set a bar in comedy with different characters and styles. To act like him is difficult and his prowess as a drama actor is also very difficult to achieve.
Another comedian or actor of same stature should only perform as Relangi. So, Brahmanandam garu has been given the role.
We cannot just take any actor or imitator for such a role," concluded the writer.
