Telugu girl Anjali has acted in many interesting roles till date but she picked the most challenging and the boldest role in her career for Netflix's original 'Paava Kadhaigal'. This Tamil film will be streaming from 18th December and the anthology flick narrates four different stories.
This movie was directed by Sudha Kongara, Gautham Menon, Vetrimaran and Vignesh Shivan. Many famous artists like Prakash Raj, Sai Pallavi, Gautham Menon, Simran, Anjali, Bhavani, Kalidas Jayram, Aditya Bhaskar, Kalki Koechlin and others played the lead roles.
The trailer released recently and it tried to shed light on the issues in society and how far people can go for family honor. Among the three stories, Anjali and Kalki Koechlin's story directed by Vignesh Shivan appears to be the boldest. Anjali is a lesbian who falls in love with another girl and how her family who respects honor more than anything forms the crux of this storyline.
Anjali proved that she is game for challenging roles and even seen doing some intimate scenes and lip locks too. Let us wait and see how the audience reacts to this storyline which is comparatively rare on the Indian screen.
