What happened to Telugu girl's horror?

Completely shot in USA, Telugu girl Anjali's movie "Chitrangadha" is once hyped to be the coming-off age horror and psychological thriller Tollywood would ever see. But where is this film?
Long back the teaser of "Chitrangadha" is released and it failed to create enough charm for the movie. Then it was publicised that director Ashok (Pilla Zamindar fame) failed to do magic like in his debut film which is purely lifted story from a Korean movie. But now that Ashok moved to "Bhagmati" with Anushka, we wonder if "Chitrangadha" will ever come out.
Anyway, Anjali missed out giving a horror treat after "Geethanjali" again.
