Adding fuel to this, a YSRCP MP had told the Parliament that Andhra Pradesh is in a position to not even pay salaries for the employees.
To shed light on the concerning situation, the Andhra Pradesh government had decided to mortgage hundreds of acres of land in the state to get loans. It is also said that the procedure was also over and the registration of the so-called lands was also completed reportedly.
One of the leading media outlets in Telugu had carried out a stunning piece of news saying that as many as 480 acres of land in Amaravati was mortgaged. The government took the decision to raise a loan of Rs 3000 crore reportedly.
According to the information shared by the media outlet, the government had gathered the information on the lands from the district authorities and Revenue Department officials and all the procedure of the entire exercise was kept a secret reportedly.
The lands that were believed to be mortgaged belong to Amaravati, the capital region that was proposed by the previous government. As the current government came up with a new proposal to have three capitals for the state, no development programs were held in the region recently.
