'Agnyaathavaasi' had a fantabulous pre-release business. The theatrical rights alone were sold out for a whooping Rs 125 crore. What matters the most would be whether or not the returns lived up to the expectation. On Day 2 itself, Trade Pundits, Distributors, Exhibitors and Public came to know recovering the investment would be impossible, forget about the profits.
Pawan Kalyan's earlier films 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' and 'Katamarayudu' had collected a share of around Rs 60 crore. 'Agnyathaavaasi' might just touch this mark if the full run is dragged by few more days. Overall, The loss wouldn't less than Rs 65 crore excluding print and publicity.
Notably, The 3rd Flick of Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram collected almost Rs 40 crore share on Day 1 itself. Due to lackluster content, It would only manage Rs 18 crore in the remaining days and even Pongal season can't help it any way.
