Anti-Jagan medias strange logic on why Acharya, Radhesyam flopped

For a politician, everything can and should be politicised. Even the success or failure of the films are being politicised these days. The pro-TDP publicity machinery is now working overtime to attribute the failure of the films of some top heroes to their proximity to AP chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Take for instance, Prabhas starrer Radheshyam and Chitu starrer Acharya. Both the films flopped miserably at the box office. Both got negative reviews and the collections slumped from the second show of the day. But, some pro-TDP websites and other media is attributing the failure of these films to the close association of the heroes of these films with YS Jagan.

It is well-known that Chiru and Prabhas were part of the film personalities who went and met YS Jagan at Tadepalli and sought concession for their latest releases Radheshyam and Acharya respectively. The argument goes that the audience rejected the film just because these leaders met YS Jagan. The comment is that people don't like Jagan and hence have rejected the films.

The argument looks quite far-fetched and outrageous. Interestingly, another film personality who met Jagan is Mahesh Babu, whose Sarkaru Vaari Paata is set for release. By this stretch of argument, this film too should fail. Interestingly, the anti-Jagan group says that the two leaders who opposed Jagan - Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan - scored hits despite the restrictions imposed by Jagan.

By this argument, content is not important. It is one's relation with Jagan that determines the success or otherwise of a film. How ludicrous?
