First biggie of this Summer.. 'Katama Rayudu' hit the screens yesterday. Even though there is mixed response over many things of the movie.. the response on Anup Rubens music is unanimous. The songs.. background score.. re-recording disappointed the audience... and the audience are discussing about Mani Sharma and Thaman.. why ?
In any film.. re-recording plays a key role in taking the fights & emotional scenes to the next level.. irrespective of the songs. Devi Sri Prasad is a specialist in songs.. and re-recording. When we keep Devi aside... Mani Sharma & Thaman are superb in re-recording. That is the reason why several star directors are heroes are opting Mani Sharma for re-recording even though some other music director is composing the songs.
'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' is one such example where the director used Mani Sharma background score. When it comes to Thaman.. he elevated the simple interval bang of 'Sarrainodu' with his mindblowing background score. Right from sound mixing to Dolby conversion.. Thaman was simply brilliant. But.. 'Katama Rayudu' fights and emotional scenes missed that kind of re-recording.
It would be better if Anup does some kind of research that what kind of background score.. and RR his seniors are providing to star hero films. Otherwise it will be difficult for Anup to get the offers of star hero films.
