Exclusive: Anupama Parameswaran Talks To Tupaki.com
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2019 11:24 AM GMTYoung and talented actress Anupama Parameswaran is looking forward to the release of Rakshasudu. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on 2nd August. She is acting for the first time with Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Ramesh Varma directed the film. Tupaki.com caught up with her for a chit-chat about her upcoming film and her career in general. Here are the excerpts from our conversation ...
Q: Hi Anupama, we think you have become more selective these days. Do you see any decrease in you craze in Tollywood?
Anupama: Talent speaks volumes ... I am here because Tollywood people have accepted me, as they liked my beauty, skills, acting and appearance. I am grateful for their love. I did not want to lose it and hence, became highly selective in my films. I do feel that the less number of films will grow distance between me and audiences. But I am trying to do the best possible work fhat my heart and mind accepts. For any reason, I can't work in a film that I don't fit in and feel sad about it, afterwards. Professionally, I am very happy with my career.
Q: We get that you're being selective for your reasons and we do appreciate that a lot. But don't you think you are getting typecasted in serious roles?
Anupama: Yeah (laughs...) Truly, I do feel that I am doing more serious and typical characters. I have to choose from what I am offered, you know. I am getting more (offers with) such roles and I don't mind them at all. I am doing those roles that I like, only. After Ninnu Kori remake in Tamil, I do want to try a bubbly girl role like the one in Premam. Let's see ...
Q: Gossips and rumours are common for any celebrity. We heard that you're in relationship with a cricketer. Is it true?
Anupama: (Very quiet for a while and laughs...) No comments, I don't want to talk about it.
Q: Okay ... Can you give us clarity on who among KL Rahul or Jaspreet Bumrah, you're in a relationship with, as per gossips?
Anupama: (Laughs but slightly seriously) I said, No comments right! Can we go to another topic, please??
Q: Sorry, we will drop that topic... You're acting as a teacher for the first time in your career. Can you say something about your role in Rakshasudu?
Anupama: Tamil movie Ratchasan is remade as Rakshasudu in Telugu. I am doing another typical role (as you've asked before ... Laughs). I really thought about it long, before taking up the role as I have to play a teacher. I was in a dilemma if I would fit in such a role or not. Still, I agreed taking it up as a challenge. Even after going on sets, I always checked twice if I was performing well in such a matured role, after every shot.
Q: Very nice to hear that. Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu ... Out of these three languages, in which one did you feel more comfortable?
Anupama: I am getting more work in Telugu Industry and I have no problem with the language too. Malayalam is my mother tongue and I wish to be able to work more there. I just started working in Tamil Industry and I am not in a position to analyse the working environment there, yet. To be straightforward, I am feeling more comfortable in Telugu Industry, now.
Q: Ah ... Are you saying this because you are promoting a Telugu film?
Anupama: (Laughing out loud) No, not really. I am genuinely feeling very comfortable acting in Telugu and I love it.
Q: That was great chatting with you Ma'm. We hope you get a big success in Telugu with Rakshasudu and many more great projects. Thank you for your time in your busy schedule, for Tupaki.com.
Anupama: It was very nice speaking with you too. I hope all the readers of Tupaki.com watch our film, Rakshasudu. Thank you!
