She's called the lady super star for a reason. Anushka Shetty proved her stamina once again. She is one of the actresses who can pull the crowd to the theaters even when she comes alone(no big star cast in main lead roles). Arundhathi can be termed as the career best performance of this star which Bhaagamathie is no lesser than that.
Though biggies like Agnyathavasi, Jai Simha were released they could not manage to collect as much as Bhaagamathie collected at the theaters. Being a woman-centric movie Bhaagamathie had a medium pre-release buzz. After the release, Bhaagamathie got a very good initial report.
The initial reports were so good that the bookings were doubled just with the talk of mouth. The movie Bhaagamathie can be termed as a collective output of Anushka, Music Director Thaman, Director G Ashok. Anushka who was buoyed by the huge success also toured especially keeping women in consideration. The team also announced that they would be doing a movie with the women participants.
The men are upset over this because they too were a part of the tour but why is that only women are given this special offers! Also, they are questioning if it was only because of the women that the movie has become a hit. Bhaagmathie had a very big release worldwide with nearly 1200 screenings.
